The Animal and Plant Health Agency’s National Bee Unit (NBU) has received two further credible reports of Yellow-Legged Hornet (YLH) sightings this week.
A beekeeper reported a hornet in Folkestone, Kent on 8 June. The hornet, likely to be a queen, was captured and killed.
A beekeeper reported a hornet in Robertsbridge, East Sussex on 9 June. The hornet was captured and killed but the beekeeper will continue to monitor for further activity.
